For Shopify agencies

Store owners ask “did last week’s ads turn into sales?” Start charging for the answer.

Your team answers it after every big week, for free. Put that answer in the owner’s own ChatGPT or Claude, read from their Shopify orders and ad spend, and in their inbox every Monday, signed by your agency.

Bill it as an add-on. It costs you $49 per client, on the $99 agency plan.

Meta says sales are up. Shopify looks flat. Which one is right?

Look closer

Most of the lift is customers who already buy.

  • Purchase value Meta reports: up 18% on the two weeks before.
  • Shopify net sales: up 2%.
  • Orders from new customers: down 11%. From returning customers: up 9%.

What this means

Meta is likely counting people who would have come back anyway. The spend isn’t bringing in many new buyers.

Next step

Compare new-customer orders against spend on the prospecting campaigns only, and check whether an email went out the same week.

Limit: Shopify totals can’t tie one order to one ad, so this compares trends, not exact credit.

Based on: Shopify orders and net sales by new and returning customer, Meta and Google Ads spend and reported purchases

What the $99 is for

Your team sees every store at once.
Before any client sees it.

Your own Claude or ChatGPT reads every store’s orders and ad spend, with the briefs you add and your playbooks. Store owners see none of it.

Your team asks
  • “Which stores’ sales dropped against the two weeks before?”Net sales and orders, store by store, ranked by how far they fell.
  • “Run the spend-to-sales check on Fernhill Goods before Monday.”Your check on their orders, returns and ad spend, read by your team first.
  • “What did Fernhill’s owner say about the spring sale?”Found in the call notes and briefs saved for that store.
Then turn clients on
  • Every store you run ads for, for your teamUp to 25 stores on the agency plan, linked from your own access. Owners don’t see anything until you decide.
  • A store owner gets it for $49Switch a store on and the owner can ask your check whenever sales look odd. Switch it off any month; your team still reads that store.

Your work, seen between calls

Spend against sales, in their inbox every week.

Schedule the spend-to-sales review for each store: weekly, every two weeks or monthly. It runs on that week’s orders, returns and ad spend, and arrives in your agency’s name. Your team can read it and add a note before it goes.

Every review sent also adds up on the client’s own page, with a list of things to fix. How scheduled reviews and client pages work.

Each client’s own Shopify

What a review reads from Shopify.

The client connects Shopify once from their invite page. Reviews read it as totals and never change the store.

Orders and sales

Per day, by sales channel: orders, gross and net sales, discounts and returns.

Customers

New versus returning customers, counted, not named.

Marketing channel

Sales and orders by the channel Shopify credits, for the latest 14 days and the 14 days prior. Daily figures go back 30 days.

Never a customer’s name, email, address, phone number or a single order: Shopify numbers arrive added up. In the same review it can also read the client’s Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics 4 and Klaviyo. Everything a review can read.

Start with a question you already answer

Reviews Shopify agencies build.

Each is a question store owners ask after every big week, answered the way your team would.

Examples only; you bring the review.

Spend-to-sales check

Did this week’s ad spend show up in Shopify sales, or only in the ad platform’s own numbers?

New-customer check

Is the spend bringing in new buyers, or mostly reaching people who already buy?

Discount check

Are sales up because of the ads, or because of a discount that’s eating the margin?

Returns check

Are returns eating into the sales the ads brought in?

Email or ads

Did the lift come from a Klaviyo send or from paid traffic?

Honest comparison

Shopify’s own ChatGPT and Claude apps, or this?

Since May 2026, Shopify has its own apps that connect a store to ChatGPT and Claude. They do different jobs.

Shopify’s apps

Let a merchant with admin access look up orders, change prices and products, apply discounts and get reports from ChatGPT or Claude. Changes go live on the store.

Limitation: They answer whatever the merchant asks, from Shopify alone. They don’t see the store’s Meta or Google spend, and they don’t know how your agency judges a campaign.

ExpertRelay

Answers with your agency’s review, reading the store’s Shopify totals next to its ad accounts, Google Analytics and Klaviyo. It only reads, so nothing changes on the store.

Limitation: Totals only, so it can’t look up one order or one product’s sales. Clients on free ChatGPT can’t add it yet; they need Plus or Pro.

When Shopify’s own app is enough: If a store owner wants to look up an order or change products from ChatGPT, Shopify’s own app is enough. Yours answers a different question: is the money you spend with this agency working?

How it works

From your playbook to their Shopify numbers.

1

Write down your spend-to-sales review

Which numbers you trust over the ad platform’s, what counts as a real lift, and when it’s too early to say.

2

The store owner links Shopify

Next to Meta, Google Ads and whatever else the check needs, from the invite page you send. It takes a couple of minutes.

3

Sales questions get your answer

Mid-week, the owner asks their own AI why revenue moved, and the reply weighs the ad numbers the way your team would.

Shopify agencies ask

Questions about Shopify and client reviews.

Can a store owner get the review without asking for it?

Yes. Schedule it and it lands in their inbox in your agency's name, run on that week's Shopify orders and ad spend: weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Your team can approve each one before it's sent.

Can my client's ChatGPT see their Shopify sales with ExpertRelay?

It sees store totals. After the owner links Shopify, a check can use daily orders, gross and net sales, discounts and returns by sales channel, plus how many buyers were new or returning. Customer names, emails and addresses are never part of it.

Could a review edit products, prices or discounts?

Never. Access is read-only, so the store stays exactly as the owner left it.

Should a store use Shopify's own ChatGPT or Claude app instead?

For looking up an order or managing products, yes. Shopify's app works from store data only and answers the merchant's own questions. A check from your agency weighs Shopify sales against ad spend, Google Analytics and Klaviyo the way your team does.

Can it compare Meta's reported sales with real Shopify sales?

Yes, as trends. A review can read the store's Meta and Google Ads spend and reported purchases next to Shopify orders and net sales for the same days. It can't match a single order to a single ad.

Does it work for stores in different currencies?

Each order total comes with its currency, so a review can say which currency it is reading. Write the review to compare like with like.

We run ads for twenty stores. Do their numbers stay apart?

Yes. Every store links its own accounts, and its checks read nothing else.

What does it cost per store?

Your agency plan is $99 a month, and each store you give it to is one client seat at $49 a month on top. Try it free for 14 days; no setup fee. You decide what the store pays you for it.
